Resilient Clatsop County Network Convening
Join us for an inspiring keynote by Laura Porter, a nationally recognized trainer and consultant specializing in building Self-Healing Communities. Laura has over 20 years of experience teaching about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the power of local communities to create lasting change. She has worked with state and community leaders to improve outcomes in areas such as crime, addiction, abuse, depression, suicide, and school dropout rates.
Laura’s keynote message will dive into practical, sciencebased strategies to build resilience in children including:
Practical ideas, examples, tools and tips for at home, school or the clinic
Social emotional health, attachment, and attunement
Simple, research-based approaches to protect the next generation and strengthen community wellbeing
This is a must-attend session for parents, caregivers, educators, healthcare providers, child welfare professionals and anyone dedicated to helping children thrive.

Run on the River
Astoria's premiere half marathon, 10k, and 5k. Enjoy a run along the Astoria Riverwalk and stay for the after-party sponsored by Buoy Beer. Registration includes a locally made stamped glass finishers' medal and a beverage from Buoy Beer Company.
Run on the River proceeds go to funding swimming lessons and scholarships to Astoria Parks and Recreation youth programs, and more.

Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) Kick Off Event
Clatsop County residents are invited to take part in an important new effort to strengthen community resilience and preparedness. The first meeting of Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) will be held on Sunday, March 23, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peace Lutheran Church, 725 33rd Street, Astoria.
